Fine Asianliving Antique Chinese Bridal Cabinet Black - Zhejiang, China
Why not add this antique luxury cabinet to your house and make the interior decoration more unique?
This antique Chinese cabinet has two pairs of doors giving access to separate storage compartments. On the top compartment, two small shallow drawers inside provide more private space for you to store belongings, which is a quite unique Chinese furniture structure design. The round metal background on the door combined with its square shape represents the traditional Chinese philosophical concept of Tian Yuan Di Fang (EURoe怩ćoe+ćoe°æ-čEUR; orbicular sky and rectangular earth). The patterns at the top are crafted with traditonal Chinese auspicious patterns. This furniture can be a very traditional dowry for Chinese brides. In China, traditionally, when women were going to get married, their families had to give this kind of furniture to their future husband, meaning bringing happiness and luck to their new family.
This cabinet is made of elm, as one of the best material choices for luxury and carved lacquer furniture. Elm has straight textures and clear pattern. Elm is elastic but strong, and also resistant to moisture and corrosion.
[Paint & Color]
The sides and top are hand painted in black, a color referring to a mysterious and fantastic space (the universe) in a Chinese traditional concept. At Fine Asianliving, we distinguish ourselves in the beautiful finish and especially the special natural lacquer layer. This lacquer layer is built up in six to eight layers during the restoration process. This creates the sparkling appearance that makes the character and soul of the piece of furniture speak more.
